Vera Chochorovska Novak was born in Macedonia, escaping from the former Yugoslavia to England with her mother. She first modeled for Harrison Marks at the Gerrard Street studio in early 1963: in the spring he invited her to a location shoot at Ewhurst and then to the annual Cornwall shoot. The first of the resulting photographs were used in Kamera No.54. She appeared in several Harrison Marks’ publications including ‘Solo‘ No.34; numerous ‘Kamera‘ issues, nine pages of ‘She Walks in Beauty‘ and in the 1965 Kamera Calendar. In 1964 – ’65 she starred in the Kamera Cine Films ‘Country Cousins‘, ‘It’s a Bare, Bare World‘ and ‘The Naked World of Harrison Marks‘, popular short “stag” clips featuring softcore nude models in various relatively chaste poses. In 1967 she was cast in the James Bond movie ‘Casino Royale‘ but for reasons unknown she was never included in the released film.
In 1982 she married Canadian actor Robert Goulet, and acted as his business partner and manager. She received her US citizenship in 2003 and today she’s a successful independent artist and writer.
