Jason Cantoro lives and works in Montreal, Canada. Co-founder of Sérigraphie CinqUnQuatre with Alice Jarry, his work combines drawings, photographs, patterns and iconic
imagery through screen printing. He works with multiple screens in order to create
compositions while printing (instead of creating them on the computer)
and then adds and subtracts images by controlling the opacity of the
layers. The esthetic of his work is characterized by the transparencies
and nuances created by this multi-layering. He sees his work as a dynamic and
narrative world that evolves in time through personal experiences.
Jason Cantoro’s work is represented by galleries in Montreal, Toronto, Paris and San Francisco.
