So I’m obviously in some kind of Pop-Surrealism / Lowbrow / Streetfunk drive these days and I’m too fucking busy wrenching on motorcycles and playing commercial artist / whore to be vacuuming up the interweb for fresh tidbits of brain fodder. As a result I’m gonna dust off some drafts that I’ve had floating around and disperse with the deep research for a bit.

Erik Alos was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. (1978), hotbed of the “lowbrow” movement along with most of the other weirdness associated with the topics I like. A self-taught artist, Alos began doing graffiti and street painting during his teens: he has managed to successfully transport his talents from the streets to the canvas, and today he’s become a notable player in LAs’ art scene. Influences include Raphael Sanzio, Francisco Goya, Salvador Dali, Robert Williams, Mark Ryden and Ron English.
